WHEREAS, Many students, especially those who are not on pre-professional tracks, suffer from a lack
of direction due to them being unsure/unaware of what they want to do for a future career, and
WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government hopes to spark a sense of motivation in students by
giving them greater clarity on their professional future, then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Undergraduate Student Government shall organize an event titled
“Careers and Cut-Outs” on April the 24th from 1-3pm in the UIC Quad, and
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that “Careers and Cut-Outs” will feature students creating a vision board for
their future career using magazine cut-outs, and
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that this shall instill a sense of clarity and purpose in students as they map out
and visualize what they hope to achieve in their ideal future, with regards to their career, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that this event shall give students time to unwind during final
examination season – yet give them a space to be motivated and network with other like-minded
students who care for their future, and
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Undergraduate Student Government shall allocate a
maximum of $331.09 to “Careers and Cut-outs”, and any unspent funds shall be returned to the USG
budget.
