The Undergraduate Student Government is dedicated to serving the students and works tirelessly to uphold our mission: “We will promote the interests of the undergraduate student body and ensure that there is effective communication between students, student organizations, faculty, staff, and administrators, with proper acknowledgment of student voices in all levels of decision making. We shall fulfill this mission through three main tenets: Advocacy, Service, and Governance.”

USG represents undergraduate students across colleges, departments, and identities by engaging directly with university administration, faculty, and campus partners. Elected student representatives bring forward concerns, proposals, and initiatives that reflect the needs and priorities of the undergraduate population.

Guided by its Constitution and Bylaws, USG operates through an elected executive board, a representative legislative body, and standing committees. This structure ensures accountability, transparency, and continuity in student governance while fostering leadership development and collaborative decision-making.

USG committees focus on key areas such as student success, diversity and inclusion, campus life, legislative affairs, and fiscal oversight. These committees research issues, draft policy recommendations, and support initiatives that improve student resources, engagement, and equity on campus.

In addition to advocacy, USG organizes programs, events, and initiatives that promote student involvement, professional development, and community building. By collaborating with student organizations and campus offices, USG works to create meaningful opportunities that empower students and strengthen campus life.

USG is committed to transparency, open dialogue, and responsible stewardship of student resources. Through regular meetings, elections, and public communication, USG remains accountable to the university community it serves while continuously striving to improve institutional outcomes for students.
