Join the Undergraduate Student Government and Become a Student Advocate!

It takes leadership, commitment, and integrity to be a part of USG. Individuals who join our assembly can enhance their leadership and professional skills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with school administrators on a variety of campus issues.

Become a Member: Application Process

Applications to be a representative for the 2026-2027 Academic Year will be released at the end of July, 2026.

Applicants shall:

  1. Submit a Seat Vacancy Application.
  2. Contact a Committee Director of the committee they’re interested in and introduce themselves.
  3. Attend a USG meeting to present a short speech about what they’d like to accomplish as a USG member, and answer questions regarding their application.

For the “Contact a Committee Director” portion of the application, please go to “Committees & Commissions” under “About” to find the description of the committees and emails of their directors. Please note, commitee directors are not yet hired, therefore commitees may not display the directors. Furthermore, please use this connection with any of the directors if you need assistance in completing the application!

Student Elections

Once a year, USG hosts elections for the following year’s positions, such as President, Vice President, and Student Trustee. For outcomes, process, and further questions about previous years’ elections, please visit the Dean of Students Office website.
