Hello, thank you for taking interest in becoming a USG representative! Applications to be a representative for the 2025-2026 Academic Year has concluded.
Spring 2026 Representative Seats may be offered. Follow @uicusg on instagram for more details should the opportunity arise. We encourage you to look at the application information below to prepare.
Applicants shall:
- Submit a Seat Vacancy Application.
- Contact a Committee Director of the committee they’re interested in and introduce themselves.
- Attend a USG meeting to present a short speech about what they’d like to accomplish as a USG member, and answer questions regarding their application.

Furthermore, please use this connection with any of the directors if you need assistance in completing the application!

Student Elections
Once a year, USG hosts elections for the following year’s positions, such as President, Vice President, and Student Trustee. For outcomes, process, and further questions about previous years’ elections, please visit the Dean of Students Office website.
