WHEREAS, the core mission statement of the Undergraduate Student Government is to serve and
advocate for the best interests of the undergraduate student body; and
WHEREAS, many students struggle with affording the school supplies needed to achieve academic
success, especially during the early weeks of the Semester; and
WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government seeks to mitigate this issue by providing various
school supplies to students such as Notebooks, Folders, Pencils, Post It Notes, and Pens (with stylus’);
then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that in the early weeks of the Fall 2023 semester, the Undergraduate Student
Government shall reserve a table in the Student Center East building to distribute the school supplies.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG shall allocate a maximum of $2,000 for the purchase of
the aforementioned items, as well as USG branded bags to distribute to UIC students.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unspent allocated funds shall be returned to the USG
budget.
