WHEREAS, The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) seeks to engage with and benefit the
students of the Undergraduate Student Body; and
WHEREAS, USG aims to spread awareness for its activities and initiatives to students, as well as
increase its visibility and outreach on campus; and
WHEREAS, hosting social events that allow for the fostering of personal connections between USG
members and the student body promotes an approachable and personable image for USG as an
organization and resource for students; and
WHEREAS, providing USG members with a chance to engage with their constituents in a casual setting
will enable members to gain a stronger understanding of the needs and concerns of the UIC community,
which will in turn inform more effective and responsive initiatives from the body; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that in an event during the week of April 24-28, USG shall collaborate with
the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and UIC Radio to host a Spring Semester Celebration in the
Quad.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG shall allocate up to $3000 for the purchase of:
- Pizza from Giordanos
- Catering from Chilango
- Drinks from UIC catering
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unspent funds shall be reallocated to the budget.
