WHEREAS, this academic year the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) expanded its advocacy
abilities by establishing the USG Commission Act of 2022, which establishes and defines USG
commission; and,
WHEREAS, since the passing of the USG Commission Act of 2022, USG has established two
commissions: the Mental Health Commission (MHC) and the Campus Safety Commission (CSC); and,
WHEREAS, the Mental Health Commission and the Campus Safety Commission have been very
successful in their advocacy, service, and work, in gratuity to its leadership; and,
WHEREAS, Commissioners undertake similar responsibilities, both administrative and advocacy-like to
that of executive officers; then,
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that commissioners shall be classified as non-voting members of the
Undergraduate Student Government.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that commissioners shall be issued a leadership stipend of $700 for
Spring 2023.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG shall allocate $1,400 for the stipends of the two
aforementioned USG Commissioners (MHC and CSC).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that this shall be enacted immediately after passing and that the
Treasury committee shall make necessary budget changes in order to accommodate the current two
(MHC and CSC) Spring 2023 USG Commissioners.
