USG Fall 2023 Social Funding

WHEREAS, USG traditionally holds socials throughout the academic year in order to celebrate the
significant work done by its members; and
WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government recognizes the importance of fostering a strong
sense of unity and camaraderie among its members, as providing members with the opportunity to build
connections with each other contributes to the creation of a positive and collaborative working
environment; and
WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government seeks to hold the USG Fall Social in an inclusive,
private setting in order to allow members to enjoy catering, freely participate in planned activities, and
mingle; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Undergraduate Student Government shall allocate $1,500 for the
reservation of a private event space and catering services (see attached) at Pompei (1531 W. Taylor St.)
on Monday, November 27th, 2023 from 6-8pm for the USG Fall Social.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unspent funds shall be returned to the USG budget.
