Room Reservation Funding Allocation

WHEREAS, it is challenging to secure room reservations for USG events without ample time in
advance; as a result, event proposal resolutions are often introduced prematurely in order to secure a
room for the event; and,
WHEREAS, USG seeks to provide its members with the necessary time to thoroughly plan and execute
events; and
WHEREAS, room reservations can be canceled and refunded if needed, in which case the funds can be
returned to the allocation; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that USG shall allocate $2,500 to cover room reservation fees for our events
for the 2023-2024 academic year.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unspent allocated funds will be returned to the budget by
the 10th week of the Spring 2024 semester.
