UIC Homecoming Tailgate Activities and USG’s Participation

WHEREAS, The Undergraduate Student Government participates in and funds various social events
throughout the year to provide opportunities for the undergraduate student body to be better connected;
and,
WHEREAS, Homecoming week is one of the most popular events for the UIC student body to
participate in that attracts both the local community and alumni; and,
WHEREAS, Historically, USG has rented a tent from a vendor for our USG members to participate in
during the event and a food truck to provide free cupcakes to students (A.Sweets Girl Cupcake Truck);
then,
WHEREAS, USG funds snacks, drinks, and hosts competitive events to engage the student body and
promote participation in the UIC Homecoming Tailgate; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Undergraduate Student Government shall allocate a maximum of
$6,000 to cover the similar expenditures that will occur in planning and participating in the tailgate and
homecoming activities; then,
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, all endeavors requiring funding will first be consulted with the
Treasurer; then,
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unspent funds shall be returned to the budget
