Winter Wear Initiative

WHEREAS, The core mission statement of the Undergraduate Student Government is to serve and
advocate for the best interests of the undergraduate student body; and
WHEREAS, students may be struggling to adjust to the inevitable winter season and lack appropriate
winter attire: and
WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government seeks to engage with and benefit the students of
the undergraduate student community; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that in the early weeks of the Spring Semester, the Undergraduate Student
Government will reserve a table in the Student Center East building to distribute Hot Chocolate and
winter items such as Gloves, Hats, Scarves, Hand Warmers, and Socks.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG shall allocate at most $1,250 for the purchase of the
aforementioned items as well as USG branded bags to distribute to UIC students.
