WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) currently maintains social media platforms
that are primarily student-facing and do not effectively reach the administrators and external
professionals USG collaborates with; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to enhance USG’s presence on a professional networking platform to align
with the broader communication preferences of university administrators and external stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, establishing a USG LinkedIn page would help promote the organization’s professional
image, showcase its initiatives, and facilitate stronger connections with university administrators,
potential partners, and external advocates; and
WHEREAS, a USG LinkedIn page would serve as a platform to highlight USG’s projects,
achievements, and the professional development of its members, thereby raising the standards of
professionalism within the organization; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Undergraduate Student Government will create and maintain an
official LinkedIn page to support its goals of professional engagement and advocacy for the student
body;
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that the USG LinkedIn page will be used to post updates on USG
initiatives, events, and achievements, and engage in professional interactions that strengthen USG’s
advocacy efforts and visibility within the university and beyond.
