USG Coffee, Cocoa, Cookies, and Careers Event

WHEREAS, the Undergraduate Student Government cares for the academic success of students and
gives importance to providing opportunities for their career readiness; and
WHEREAS, this can be achieved by collaborating with the UIC Career Development departments; and
WHEREAS the Student Success Committee will be hosting a USG Coffee, Cocoa, Cookies, and Career
Event in collaboration with the LAS Department of Internships and Career Development on Monday,
November 11th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM; then
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that USG will allocate $120 for the following services and any other needed
supplies (bulleted below):
● [1x] Projector and screen.
● [1x] Microphone- Wired.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG will allocate $145 for the following beverages from UIC
Catering (bulleted below):
● [3x] Gallon of Coffee ($15.00 ea., $45.00 total)
● [3x] Gallon of Hot chocolate ($18.99 ea., $56.97 total)
● [2x] Assorted Teas ($12.00 each, $24.00 total).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG will allocate $200 for the following cookies (bulleted
below):
● [60] Assorted Cookies ($1.00 ea., $60.00 total)
● [3x] OREO Original, OREO Golden, CHIPS AHOY! & Nutter Butter Cookie Snacks Variety
Pack, 56 Snack Packs ($22.58 ea., $67.74 total)
● [2x] CHIPS AHOY! Cookie Variety Pack, Original Chocolate Chip, Chewy Chocolate Chip with
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups & Chewy Hershey's Fudge Filled Soft Cookies, 50 Snack Packs
($24.98 ea., $49.96 total).
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG will allocate $75 for the promotion and the printing of
100 bingo cards for the event from Staples.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that USG will allocate a total of $540 for the costs of the USG
Coffee, Cocoa, Cookies, and Career Event.
LET IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED, that any unused funds will be returned to the USG budget.
